Yearly 2/12 Day celebration contest takes a new approach and encourages participants to give back to community.

Playing an active role in bettering our community is important to us as a company

Every year on February 12, 212 Media Studios celebrates 2/12 Day with contests, giveaways, and prizes for companies across the U.S. This year, the 2/12 Day contest is focused on supporting local nonprofits. Community members will have the opportunity to nominate a deserving nonprofit to receive 100% of 212’s fees earned on 2/12/2018.

“Playing an active role in bettering our community is important to us as a company,” says 212’s chief marketing officer David Phelps. “We love our local nonprofits, and 2/12 Day is a perfect opportunity for us to celebrate them and encourage our community to do the same. And we know that after year end many non-profits struggle with fundraising and awareness – we’re hoping to change that in our community!”

In order to nominate a deserving nonprofit, participants should like the 212 Media Studios Facebook page and post a 2-3-sentence comment on the designated entry post on 212’s page, explaining why they think their chosen nonprofit deserves the 2/12 Day prize. Nominations close on February 5, and 212 will announce the winner on February 12.

“We’re excited to hear from people in our community and learn about the causes that are important to them,” says Dustin Hickle, director of social media at 212. “Over the years, we’ve had several opportunities to build relationships with local nonprofits, and we’re excited to see how this contest will deepen those relationships.” Through the 2/12 Day celebration, 212 Media Studios looks forward to joining with community members to raise awareness for nonprofits.
