Tanaza Updates its Privacy Policy to Comply with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)
(PRWEB) January 17, 2018 -- After having been approved by the EU Parliament on April 14th, 2016, the GDPR, General Data Protection Regulation, goes into effect on May 25th, 2018. The Regulation replaces the previous Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC and is designed to harmonize data privacy laws across European countries, empower individuals' rights, and reshape the way companies approach data privacy.
The EU GDPR website lists the major changes compared to the previous directive: increased territorial scope, penalties, consent conditions, breach notification, right to access, right to be forgotten, data portability, privacy by design, and data protection officers' roles and duties.
"Our customers' trust is the foundation of everything we do" declares Sebastiano Bertani, Tanaza's CEO and founder "That's why back in October of last year we set up a specialized internal team to focus on getting Tanaza ready for the GDPR."
Tanaza's team worked very hard to prepare for this big change: the team researched the areas of product and business whichare being impacted by GDPR, rewrote its privacy policy, roadmapped the necessary changes and improvements, improved efficiency and speed of its internal processes and procedures, and started communicating to customers and prospects.
In relation to this, Tanaza is not only committed to full GDPR compliance, but also to providing guidance to partner companies and end users customers about how to ensure compliance to these regulations when using Tanaza's software.
