Author T.E. Dietz’s Newly Released “Dreamliner Down: 17 Minutes to Live” Is The Mission To Rescue The Passengers And Crew Of Flight One From The Arctic
(PRWEB) January 22, 2018 -- “Dreamliner Down: 17 Minutes to Live”: the mission to rescue the passengers and crew of Flight One from the Arctic. “Dreamliner Down: 17 Minutes to Live” is the creation of published author, T.E. Dietz. Dietz was born in 1965 and grew up in a small town in Southern Colorado. At the age of ten, he fell in love with aviation. At the age of fourteen, he started work at the local airport fueling airplanes. He then began taking flying lessons with any extra money he made. After meeting his future wife, he started teaching her to fly at nineteen years old. She was his first student. He flew for two small Charter companies before being hired by a commuter airline when he was twenty. Just over a year later, he was hired by a major US airline flying DC-10s in the South Pacific. T.E. went on to become a senior captain before a heart condition resulted in the loss of his medical certification. Having flown in excess of 17,500 hours in over fifty types of aircraft, he is Type Rated on the B-737, B-757, B-767, and B-777. He and his wife Leslie have been married over thirty years. They live with their three children near Wasilla, Alaska. They love all things that involve the outdoors.
“An F 22 Raptor Fighter Pilot in Anchorage, Alaska, plans a daring rescue attempt with an airplane designed to take life, not prolong it. Over two hundred lives depend on his innovation and out-of-the-box thinking. If it works, only then will a real rescue operation have any chance of success.” --T.E. Dietz
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, T.E. Dietz’s new book takes readers on a mission to save the passengers and crew of Flight One.
Flight One from Seattle to Dubai is the flagship of an American Legacy Airline. Their flight plan has placed them on Polar Route One. It is a nonstop route that takes the aircraft over the North Pole, one of the most remote and hostile places on the face of the Earth. Unknown to the crew, a terrorist plot to financially cripple all the major airlines and hobble the national economy is underway. The plan is to take down a trio of intercontinental passenger jets.
As Flight One approaches the North Pole, a remote-controlled device ignites a cache of lithium-ion batteries hidden in the jet’s aft lower cargo compartment. The flight crew has just minutes to make an emergency landing on the polar ice cap before the flight controls burn through and control of the aircraft is lost, but surviving an emergency landing on the ice is only the first challenge. Nearly fifteen hundred miles from civilization, the crew and passengers of Flight One will have to survive lethal temperatures.
