“’God’s Relocated Kids”: is directly aimed at children who have experienced adoption, the foster care system, or are in a disenfranchised circumstance. The story highlights personalities from scripture that have gone through similar situations and still remained true to their God. “God’s Relocated Kids” is the creation of published author, Delores A. Stone MAGC MAPC LPC, who has seen, first hand, the destruction that can be caused by children being removed from the only place they know of as “home.” She has earned her Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling from Eastern Michigan University and attended Ashland Theological Seminary.
Stone states “I saw children being moved about by negligent parents. They would be sent to courts to be moved around from place to place like cans on a shelf. I worked with mothers to get their children back, only to watch them lose them again in just a few weeks because of repeated neglect. The children often had no one to talk to about their struggles. Many longed for adoption or a foster home. Often, their outburst of emotional anger, usually do to fear, would send them back into the government residential care system. The children wanted to belong, they wanted purpose and hope. They often felt their life was worthless and ruined. By sharing these stories from the scripture, the children found the hope and hung on tightly.”
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Delores A. Stone’s new book will act as a guide for children and adults who have had a disconnected home life and long for a better future.
