FaceFirst Adds Law Enforcement Expert Dan Merkle to Board of Advisors

Merkle will draw upon more than three decades of executive leadership to build strategic alliances and educate the law enforcement community about the growing impact of face recognition technology and biometric data.
Merkle served as Chairman and CEO of Lexipol, the nation's leading provider of state specific policies and integrated training, where he helped federal and local law enforcement agencies identify and mitigate emerging risks. The company was acquired by the Riverside Company in 2014. Subsequently, he was President of Veritone Public Safety, a cloud-based artificial intelligence media technology company, and Principal at FidusLink. In addition to having served on the board of both startups and multinational companies, Dan Merkle has served on advisory boards for the US Department of Energy, the State of Oregon, Orange County Sheriff’s Department, Pierce County Sheriff’s Department, the Dean's Advisory Board for the Argyros School of Business & Economics at Chapman University, Chairman of the Forum for Corporate Directors and currently serves as an Executive Fellow for the Police Foundation. Merkle holds a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Chapman University and an Executive Certificate from Harvard University.
