"I'm overwhelmed by this film. It brought back so many memories. I deeply appreciate what you've done with this film. I look forward to coming to see you." -Rosalynn Carter to St. Genevieve, October 3, 2017

About the Film: Principal Dan Horn, longtime friend of Rosalynn Carter, requested permission from Mrs. Carter in 2012 for his students to tell her story. It is Horns's fervent belief that Rosalynn is a hero to our world; if you ask him, he'll describe her as a living saint. Numerous groups of students have taken part in the project traveling to Plains, Georgia to conduct interviews and piece together her fascinating story.
What makes the documentary truly special is that it is told from the perspective of the St. Genevieve students, a community that Rosalynn has grown to love.
On February 2, 2018, President and Mrs. Carter, along with family and friends from their hometown of Plains, will join their St. Genevieve family at the Rose Bowl for the premiere of Dear Rosalynn on the jumbo-tron. Students, staff, and parents from both St. Genevieve Elementary School and High School will be present for the historic occasion. The public is invited to attend as well.
