Back in 2013, the city of Las Cruces, New Mexico contacted Big Statues of Provo, Utah to help them create a monumental memorial to honor all of the women who have served in the United States armed forces. All veteran women, past and present, have risked their lives for our freedom, and the city of Las Cruces wanted to honor them in some way. After deciding that bronze statues would be a striking and lasting way to show their respect, six statues were created. All of the statues are of veteran women from different eras and different wars. The uniforms are all unique to that veteran's time of service and which war she would have been serving in. These six statues will go on to inspire men and women for hundreds of years to come. This memorial is complete and can be found at the Veterans Memorial Park in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
