Aging is never easy, and when you see it in your face, your confidence can diminish. The fault lies with waning collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid production. Fortunately, leading global aesthetic manufacturer Syneron-Candela has developed Profound, a radiofrequency microneedling system that has been clinically proven to create elastin, collagen and hyaluronic acid – the building blocks of the skin. A single treatment can have a noticeable impact on patients – ideal for cheeks, jawline and submental areas as well as being an effective treatment for cellulite.

"We’re really excited to be one of three locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth market to offer our customers the Profound procedure as an alternative to a surgical facelift," said David Pyle, Chief Executive Officer, TruDerm. "Profound works. It's a powerful tool that combines two effective technologies for even greater performance for noticeable improvement in wrinkle reduction, from a non-surgical, single treatment that creates visual results."

Profound, developed by medical device leader Syneron-Candela, is an FDA-approved device indicated for use in dermatologic and general surgical procedures for electrocoagulation and hemostasis. Specifically, the 25º Dermal handpiece and cartridge are used for percutaneous treatment of facial wrinkles, and the 75º SubQ handpiece and cartridge are used to improve the appearance of cellulite in patients with Fitzpatrick skin types I-III as supported by long-term clinical data (6 months). Remarkably, only one 45 to 90-minute Profound treatment is needed. Most patients resume normal activities within 24 to 48 hours. Clinical studies reveal a 100 percent response rate for wrinkles

"The FDA clearance of Profound for the treatment of cellulite is a major addition to the capabilities of Profound and body contouring options. Cellulite is one of the most disturbing aesthetic problems bothering women and one of the most difficult to treat. Cellulite is also one of the most prevalent aesthetic conditions bothering women at all ages, it is estimated that between 85-98% of adult women suffer from cellulite. This FDA clearance provides a new treatment opportunity for patients with minimal discomfort and downtime," said Ross Portaro, Vice President, Syneron Candela, Profound Global Business Unit. "We are thrilled that TruDerm is able to add to their services a long-term solution to improve the appearance of cellulite that is complementary to their existing services.”
