Liaison Becomes First Admissions and Recruitment Marketing Solution Provider to Offer IACET-accredited CEUs

Robust training programs help higher education institutions increase ROI on admissions solutions while promoting employee retention

The National Center for Education Statistics reports that a quarter of those who participate in adult education seek instruction related to on-the-job skills [1]. Because employees who have access to these professional development opportunities are 10% more likely to remain with the employers who provide them [2], Liaison International has sought and attained accreditation from the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). The leading admissions solution provider can now award Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for completion of its training programs, which focus on increasing competency with admissions technology and techniques.

“Liaison’s accredited training programs create a structured way for institutions to get the maximum value out of their Centralized Application Service (CAS™) while offering an in-demand benefit to their employees,” shared Danielle Di Silvestro, director of member and community engagement for the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA), which partnered with Liaison to power the CAS for Physician Assistants (CASPA). “Providing high quality, for-credit CAS training speaks to Liaison’s commitment to meeting all stakeholders — applicants’, institutions’ and their employees’ — needs.”

Beginning in February 2018, Liaison will offer 0.8 CEUs for its Reviewing & Scoring Applicants course as it continues to develop a full catalog of for-credit courses. These CEUs can be converted to Professional Development Hours, Continuing Education Credits and other professional education measurements depending on the organization or regulating body. Those who complete these training programs stand to gain transferable professional development credits while expanding their strategic admissions expertise, a skillset which will serve them throughout their careers.
