After years of working in the construction industry and serving the community through their own general contracting firm, Sarah Seymour and Danny Chung are pleased to announce the launch of their new professional painting business, Fresh Coat of Charlotte.

Fresh Coat offers residential and commercial painting services including interior or exterior painting, wood staining, and other services for nearly every protective coating application. They have a 24/7 receptionist, online scheduling, free detailed quotes, and they only use high-quality materials. Fresh Coat of Charlotte serves the Greater Charlotte area as well as Fort Mill and Indian Land in South Carolina.

Sarah and Danny are married with two children – Nathanael and Addison. Prior to opening Fresh Coat, the two were doing general contracting work together. Sarah and Danny both come from construction backgrounds – Danny is a commercial general contractor with experience in both resident and commercial remodeling. Sarah has construction management experience with large scale, ground-up commercial projects as well as a background in customer service.

“We were doing general contracting work in Charlotte but, as a smaller firm, we found ourselves doing a little bit of everything to be competitive. That can be overwhelming. So instead of aiming for one large project at a time, we decided to focus our business on one service we have experience with and enjoy doing – painting. From there, franchising with Fresh Coat was a great fit for us because of their professional approach high-quality painting services,” Danny said.

As part of Fresh Coat’s commitment to service, they offer a 3-3-3 customer service pledge, so calls will be answered by a live person within three rings, a quote will be delivered within three days (customer schedule permitting) and the job will be started within three weeks. All Fresh Coat employees are specially trained, dependable and background-checked and Fresh Coat of Charlotte is bonded and insured.

“We are launching this business with high expectations of our team – we expect our painters to set the standard for painters. They’ll be professional, courteous, respectful and they’ll care for your house like they’d care for their own. We’re even going to pay attention the little things – how they smell, where they park, that they won’t smoke on the job, etc. It’s important to us that our clients feel extremely comfortable working with our team,” Sarah said.

Fresh Coat was founded in 2004 as part of Strategic Franchising Systems. Since 2015, Fresh Coat has been included in the Bond’s Top 100 and named to Entrepreneur Magazine’s Franchise 500 list. Fresh Coat is also part of the International Franchise Association, the Small Business Association’s Franchise Registry, VetFran and Minority Fran.

The Fresh Coat system is built on professionalism and customer service, which includes tools like the custom quoting software and operational support.

“The tools and services Fresh Coat has built into the business is going to be a great asset for our business and something I know our clients will appreciate. For example, with our quoting software, I can enter the specifics of the job and then accurately quote the labor, time and material costs. That means we’ll be able to leave you with a detailed quote and you’ll understand exactly where that number came from. That’s different than what people are used to getting from a painting company,” Sarah said.

“Renovations can be really stressful for homeowners and property owners. We will do everything we can to make that process better for each and every one of our clients,” Danny added.
