Jumpstart Your Health And Fitness Resolutions At The New York Junior League’s Wellness Day
NEW YORK (PRWEB) January 18, 2018 -- With more than 40 health and fitness experts together under one roof, the New York Junior League’s (NYJL) Wellness Day allows guests to explore the latest health and fitness trends while encouraging a holistic approach to wellness. Wellness Day is Saturday, January 20 from 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. at The Astor House, located at 130 East 80th Street in New York City.

CLASSES AND SEMINARS
Wellness Day offers a variety of fitness classes and health and wellness seminars. Attendees are invited to select activities to participate in that align with their fitness style and wellness goals.
Fitness classes include, REHAB.Nyc, a program designed to rehabilitate the mind, body, and spirit through mental training; The Class Relieve, a 20-minute, no sweat class designed to clear the mind; core-focused pilates; Ab-Lab, a class that utilizes cutting edge abdominal and lower back exercises to improve core strength; Bodyweight Bootcamp, a program that works every muscle, movement, and energy system; and more.
Wellness Day seminars include, Great Skin in Your 20s, 30s, and 40s by Dr. Anne Chapas, Introduction to Chinese Medicine with Dr. Beth Hooper, How to Make Good New Year’s Resolutions and Stick to Them with Jennifer Turner of MAD COOL FITNESS, The Brain-Body Connection with Dr. Rodrigo Imana, Metabolism Makeover with Tatiana Ridley of Healthylicious BlissTM, and more.
In between activities, attendees can connect one-on-one with experts to learn about today’s health and fitness trends including nutrition information, alternative exercises, mental health practices, and performance wear. Union Square Laser Dermatology will be offering personalized VISIATM skin analysis and Refresh Body will be demonstrating needle free acupuncture. Other exhibitors include Noosa Yoghurt, Wearable X, exhale spa, and Cyc indoor cycling.
WOMEN IN WELLNESS: FOUNDING WELLNESS-FOCUSED BUSINESSES PANEL
Female CEOs from wellness-focused companies will share inspiring stories of their personal wellness journey and the successes and challenges of starting their own business during the Women in Wellness: Founding Wellness-Focused Businesses panel. Panelists include Lauren Coles, founder of Daisy Yoga; Nicole Centeno, founder of Splendid Spoon; Zoë LaPage, founder of Exhale to Inhale; and Adrienne Nolan-Smith, founder of WellBe. This panel discussion and lunch by Splendid Spoon and Curious Elixirs are included with the Wellness Day VIP pass.
