Zonder Family Law Group and Manchester Financial to Provide New Community Service Programs for 2018
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. (PRWEB) January 20, 2018 -- For 2018, Zonder Family Law Group, A P.C. and Manchester Financial will present the Ventura County and Conjeo Valley Second Saturday™ Divorce Workshops on the fourth Friday of every month and are adding Feed Your Soul Friday – Divorce Support on the first Friday of every month. The community service programs provide education, support and hope for those contemplating or going through the divorce process.
The Second Saturday Divorce Workshop is adding new faculty, changing its day, location, and format. The workshop will be held on Fridays and shortened to an hour and a half for convenience and to increase attendance. This year’s first workshop will be held on Friday, January 26 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Zonder Family Law Group offices, 2660 Townsgate Road, Suite 550, Westlake Village, California 91361. The workshop fee is $45. Pre-register online or pay with check or cash at the door. Mental health professionals attend at no charge.
Participants have shared that Second Saturday™ or “What everyone needs to know about divorce” is empowering. It went beyond what they expected. It gave them the initial steps to take to move forward. Presenters are all independent professionals dedicated to bringing peaceful resolution to family disputes or advocating for them if going to court becomes necessary.
“Divorce can be one of the most devastating and overwhelming times in your life. Even just the idea of it. I know, because I’ve been there,” said workshop host and presenter Lisa R. Zonder, CFLS of Zonder Family Law Group. “That’s what inspired me to hold Second Saturdays. My co-sponsor Jennifer Leighton, CDFA of Manchester Financial and I also identified a need for a less formal offering that would provide a supportive environment for people going through divorce. When clients first come, they are in a type of shock. We saw a dire need to help them find inspiration, clarity and a sense of direction for their future. For this reason, we added Feed Your Soul Friday – Divorce Support to our community service programs.”
The inaugural Feed Your Soul Friday – Divorce Support will be held on Friday, February 2 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at New Moon Wellness, 30315 Canwood Street, Suite 9, Agoura Hills, California 91301. The program is $10 at the door and $5 in advance. Pre-register at http://www.feedyoursoulfriday.com
Feed Your Soul Friday – Divorce Support is an hour and a half supportive workshop for people to find inspiration in their lives despite their relationship transitions. Hosted by Zonder and Leighton, the first workshop will be led by prominent therapists Raina Krell, Ph.D., LPCC and Elizabeth Hortua, MSW, LCSW. Workshops will cover letting go, being in the meantime, co-creating change, and comforting chaos.
Additional faculty added this year include Alice Arnold, J.D. Ph.D. and personal coach Kathy Dolinar. They will present at both Second Saturday and Feed Your Soul Friday events.
