Another Edition of the Sunset Boat Parade Captivates Tourists and Locals
Cancún, Mexico (PRWEB) January 20, 2018 -- Locals and tourists alike enjoyed the Sunset Boat Parade. This year 30 boats of different sizes adorned with Christmas decorations participated and navigated Nichupté Lagoon to the rhythm of Jazz. “This is how Sunset World opens the Christmas season in Cancún,” said Annie Arroyo, Branding and Communication Director of Sunset World & Vacation Experiences.
The party began with a Jazz concert at Sunset Admiral Yacht Club & Marina. The boats departed at sunset for the cruise on Nichupté Lagoon and Sigfrido Canal. The public could watch the parade from Jardín del Arte in the Hotel Zone, where there was also a pop-up market. Manos Mágicas, a group of artisans from the area, participated for the 4th year in a row.
“Our objective is to make this event a family tradition as well as attractive to tourists who visit in December,” said Annie Arroyo, “in addition, the Sunset Boat Parade is an event with a cause, and members, guests and employees donate toys to the Aitana foundation, which helps children with cancer. This year 120 toys were collected for children of different ages”, she added.
It is worth mentioning that this event was possible thanks to the sponsors who helped spread the word and create an event full of magic. For instance, the local Jaguar dealership loaned cars that were decorated by artists during the event. Vinoteca wine distributor provided high quality wines that spectators and boat passengers enjoyed during the parade. Liquor producer Casa Lumbres served spectators a wide range of cocktails during and after the parade.
Cerveza Cancún also served its delicious craft beers. The Universidad de Oriente supported the delivery of gifts to the children of the foundation, while ITM Developers added elegance and style. Printer Grupo Regio donated a backdrop where participants had fun taking photos. Flyboard Mexico offered a wonderful illuminated performance on the lagoon and Pirotecnia Cancún added the final touch with a great fireworks show.
All this resulted in a great event that lasted until Three Kings Day, when the toys were delivered to the children of the Aitana foundation. They also enjoyed breakfast at the Sunset Royal hotel, where they were entertained with a show and a visit from the Three Wise Men.
