WASHINGTON (PRWEB) January 22, 2018
In an ongoing commitment to support and drive innovation amongst non-profit organizations that serve military caregivers, the Elizabeth Dole Foundation is now accepting grant applications for the Hidden Heroes Fund.
“We established the Hidden Heroes Fund to better support innovative programs that make a direct impact in the lives of America's military and veteran caregivers,” said Steve Schwab, Executive Director of the Elizabeth Dole Foundation. “The grantees we have funded in the past have made monumental strides to improve the lives of military caregivers, and we look forward to supporting more trailblazers in 2018.”
Last year, the Foundation awarded grants to fourteen non-profit organizations in support of efforts including skill-building workshops, caregiver respite programs, counseling and therapeutic services, and more.
To be eligible for a grant from the Hidden Heroes Fund, organizations must be 501c3 registered, and projects must directly impact the lives of military and veteran caregivers, the spouses, parents, and other loved-ones caring for our nation’s wounded warriors at home.
Projects must fall under one or more of the Foundation's five pillars of impact:
Families and communities
Education & training
Employment & workplace support
Financial and/or legal support
Health and wellbeing
Use of the Foundation’s RAND study data or other relevant research in designing and implementing the project is highly encouraged.
Applications will be accepted from January 22 to February 23. Organizations interested in applying can learn more at HiddenHeroes.org/grants. Questions can be directed to grants(at)hiddenheroes(dot)org.
