Palmetto Construction Selected for the New Osu Vet Hospital Simulation Lab Which Is Set to Open in Late Summer - Early Fall of 2018
COLUMBUS, Ohio (PRWEB) January 25, 2018 -- The OSU Vet Hospital Simulation Lab will be a 16,000 square-foot addition to the OSU Veterinary Medical Center which will provide space for faculty offices, clinical skills lab and a place to experiment with new programs that will improve the quality of teaching. The funding for this project will be provided by private donors and the university. Currently the OSU Veterinary Medical Center has $32 million in enhancement and expansion projects currently under construction. Constructing the simulation lab addition is Franklinton based Palmetto Construction Services. Palmetto Construction will be building a 2nd floor addition on top of the existing hospital while the operating and oncology rooms remain active 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. “Our guys work a lot of off hours and we logged extra hours over Christmas break to not cause any delays in progress.” Palmetto Principal, Casey Cusack. “The logistics of the site can be challenging, but our crews are working hard to ensure the project is a success.” Palmetto Construction has a total workforce of 40-50 craft professionals on site. Palmetto has teamed with BHD Architects for the $6 million project set to open in late summer of 2018.
