Omnivere Announces Forthcoming Release of OmniChat for Enhanced Review of Mobile Device Data
CHICAGO (PRWEB) February 08, 2018 -- Omnivere, a leading eDiscovery service provider and legal technology company, announced at LegalTech the forthcoming release of OmniChat, a new eDiscovery solution to streamline review, analysis and production of mobile device data.
Mobile device data is notoriously difficult in the context of eDiscovery. Data collected using mobile device collection and forensic tools has traditionally been exported to spreadsheets and PDFs for manual review by legal teams. Because the mobile device data could not be exported to a standard load file, review teams needed to tediously review the data outside of mainstream document review platforms like Relativity. Moreover, the export often lacked basic information relating to family groups and attachments that are required to review the data in context.
“OmniChat is designed to streamline this process by automatically reformatting collected mobile device data for use in standard document review platforms like Relativity,” said Michael D’Angelo, Director of Forensics and OmniChat Product Owner. OmniChat reformats and exports all relevant metadata fields and preserves family groups and attachments. According to D’Angelo, the OmniChat solution has been successfully used at select clients over the last year. “The efficiency gains associated with reviewing mobile device data in traditional review platforms like Relativity cannot be understated,” said D’Angelo.
Clients involved in testing are impressed. “OmniChat has streamlined the way our legal teams review data from mobile device platforms,” says Jason Reid, Litigation Support Manager at Morrison Cohen LLP. "We are now able to review mobile device data in Relativity with other relevant case data, without the need to manually review this information in spreadsheets.”
According to Tony Caputo, CEO of OmniVere, “The release of OmniChat represents a significant investment and strategic focus on the left side of the EDRM. As mobile device data becomes more complex and commonplace in eDiscovery, we want to provide our clients with the technology to allow them to efficiently analyze their data.”
OmniChat is in final testing before general release and is expected be available within several weeks. The first release will include support for SMS, MMS and chat on the iOS and Android platforms, with subsequent versions to include support for popular social media mobile apps.
