Banky W. Releases Music Video For “Love U Baby”
NEW YORK (PRWEB) January 29, 2018 -- Nigerian actor and R&B star Banky Wellington (AKA Banky W) has just released his new music video “Love U Baby,” created in collaboration with the New York Film Academy (NYFA). The video was produced, filmed, and edited by the New York Film Academy’s faculty and staff of working industry professionals.
Two-thousand seventeen was a banner year for Banky W. It saw the performer drop his second album, “Songs About U,” and star in the feature film “The Wedding Party.” He then married his co-star from the film, Nigerian acting star Adesua Etomi, in a traditional ceremony in Lagos, Nigeria. Rounding out his full schedule, he also completed a second workshop at New York Film Academy.
Hailing from Lagos, Banky W. first enrolled in NYFA’s New York campus to study an 8-week Filmmaking Workshop, returning summer 2017 to complete the Academy’s 8-Week Screenwriting Workshop. His new video “Love U Baby” is the most recent of a string of fruitful collaborations with the institution.
“The name ‘The New York Film Academy’ has a certain level of stock,” Banky W. has remarked, “So that in and of itself is a feather in the cap … you know that I have the training behind it to pull this great idea off.”
Banky hopes to inspire students worldwide, but particularly in his native Nigeria, to follow in his footsteps by combining their passion with proper training like that provided by the New York Film Academy. He elaborates on the importance these skills can have for young people, saying, “You’ll have a whole new generation of people who really can change their country, and they can change their continent, and they can elevate the art that is coming out from these parts of the world with their own stories.”
