CMT to host timely Battery, EV & Storage APAC Summit in Bangkok on 25-26 April

Global electric vehicle manufacturers, battery producers, charging station specialists, EV operators are convening in Bangkok for CMT’s pioneering Battery, EV & Storage APAC Summit on 25-26 April, 2018. They aim to assess the growing market for EVs, batteries and storage across Singapore, China, Thailand, Indonesia and other Asian countries.

The EV revolution has opened a slew of opportunities for battery charging stations, battery storage and lithium-ion batteries production.

Electric vehicles are considered the next big thing and China has already taken the lead in EV production and other Asian countries are following suit. The EV revolution has opened a slew of opportunities for battery charging stations, battery storage and lithium-ion batteries production.

Roland Berger is sponsoring the Bangkok summit and the company’s Martin Tonko, President Director & Partner Indonesia is presenting on ‘Building Sturdy EV foundations – Batteries, Electric Mobility & Energy Storage’. Montira Watcharasukarn of Electric Vehicle Association of Thailand (EVAT) will be a lead speaker at the summit highlighting - EV development and adoption in Thailand, incentives program and charging infrastructure development.

The summit also has Li Jianzhong, Board Director & General Manager, Beijing Easpring Material Technology Co. – a major manufacturer of cathode material for lithium-ion batteries as key speaker. Mr. Jianzhong shares the ‘Market Status & Development Trend of LIB Cathode Materials’ presenting the current situation of LIB Cathode materials in China and its development trends.

South Korea’s Hyosung Corporation a specialist in all systems for EV charging stations as well as operating systems and solar power generation systems is another lead speaker. The company’s Junill Yoon, GM – Corporate Strategy Office presents the ‘Application of ESS & Renewable Energy + Opportunity with Climate Change’ highlighting renewable energy vision of Korea and its hurdles, applications, incentives and policies.

Singapore recently witnessed its first EV sharing programme courtesy blueSG and we have the company’s MD – Franck Vitte sharing on ‘Urban Mobility – Large-Scale EV Car-Sharing Programme in Singapore’.

Terence Siew, Regional Manager, Asia, Greenlots – that has tied up with BMW to install EV charging stations in Singapore and Thailand – presents on ‘EV Charging Infrastructure Present & Future’ – highlighting aspects such as E-mobility, open standards and future-proofing of EV charging.

In addition, ‘Recent Development on Precursor Materials’ is shared by Wu Haohan of Zoomwe Science and Technology Co. while ‘ASEAN Electrification Outlook: Stepping into the EV Era’ is presented by Kunat Tharasrisuthi of LMC Automotive
