Material supplier to showcase products and construction methods proven to provide high hydraulic conductivity sealing and minimize erosion along pipelines.

AquaBlok's bentonite-based sealing material, AquaBlok 2080FW, being used to seal and minimize erosion along a leaking overflow discharge pipe.

What's, perhaps, most exciting about AquaBlok is its versatility. This conference is a great way for us to share that with professionals in the industry.

AquaBlok, Ltd., a manufacturer of bentonite-based sealing and erosion control materials, will present and exhibit at the 2018 International Erosion Control Association’s (IECA) Annual Conference and Expo. The highly successful and internationally known event, which brings together professionals in the erosion and sediment control and storm water industry, will take place in Long Beach, CA from February 11-14 at the Long Beach Convention Center.

Geotechnical Sales Manager Kevin VanTuyl will be speaking at the conference on Tuesday, February 13 at 8:00am. His presentation, titled “Anti-Seep/Trench Dam - Overview of Traditional and New BMP for Minimizing Erosion Along Underground Utilities,” will introduce new materials and construction methods proven to minimize erosion along underground utilities.

Mr. VanTuyl will also identify and recommend other potential uses for the materials and construction methods, such as pond and basin repair, cut-off walls, and flood control. “What’s, perhaps, most exciting about AquaBlok is its versatility,” he says. “We have seen an increasing number of applications where the time- and cost-savings over conventional materials and methods have been proven. This conference is a great way for us to share that with professionals in the industry.”

Additionally, AquaBlok will be exhibiting their bentonite-based sealing materials in Booth #248. Their exhibit space will feature a product demonstration of the company’s namesake product, AquaBlok 2080FW, as well as product samples, case studies, and promotional items.

Visit Mr. VanTuyl and other AquaBlok members during the following dates and times:

  •     Tuesday, February 13 from 9am-5pm and Wednesday, February 14 from 9am-2pm in the Expo Hall at Booth #248

AquaBlok, Ltd.
AquaBlok, Ltd. provides a bentonite-based sealing material to address a wide range of geotechnical sealing and erosion control applications. Highly versatile, AquaBlok is used as anti-seep collars/trench dams, pond/basin construction and repair, cut-off walls and dam rehabilitation, synthetic liner repair, and more. AquaBlok uses a limestone aggregate core that is coated with the highest-quality powdered sodium bentonite clay. This approach improves over the use of raw granular or powder bentonite by eliminating the need to compact to achieve a seal, making it easier to place, simple to handle, gives it structural stability, makes it more erosion resistant and improves safety. Use as a blanket over leaking soils without blending, stop seepage around pipes and control structures without compaction, and so much more. AquaBlok can be applied through standing water or in the dry during construction. For more information, please visit http://www.aquablok.com.
