Vbrick® Celebrates Year of Enterprise Video Innovation in its Rev® Platform
HERNDON, VA (PRWEB) January 30, 2018 -- Over the last 12 months, Vbrick extended its rapid pace of innovation with a host of enterprise-focused features made possible by the advanced architecture of its Rev video platform. Vbrick delivered hundreds of new features to customers in eight-week release cycles, solidifying its position as the most modern, scalable and secure platform for the Fortune 500.
In 2017, Vbrick focused its development efforts in four key areas: Cloud Security, Editing, Enterprise Content Management and Unified Communications Integration. Highlights include:
Cloud Security
Continuing to enhance the security posture of the Rev cloud, which has already surpassed the security requirements of multiple Fortune 25 InfoSec organizations, Vbrick now enables customers to provide their own master encryption keys for use with Rev through Amazon Web Services S3 Key Management Service. The new service gives Rev customers the assurance that they have complete control of all of their video assets, including those in the cloud. Vbrick also added integration of Rev with Akamai tokenization to ensure that live streams served in the cloud cannot be forwarded to unauthorized viewers. Akamai provides unique urls to secure live streams and validates user permissions in Rev using an authentication security layer.
Editing
HTML5 native editing capabilities enable Rev customers to easily create and publish polished videos without having to use Flash or Java plugins. Rev’s browser-based online video editor offers a simple, timeline based strip for marking and previewing ‘cuts,’ and preserves the unique, dual-stream (content and video) output of Rev’s industry-leading cloud video conferencing recording capabilities.
Enterprise Content Management
Vbrick enhanced content governance, retention and enterprise content management workflows in Rev. These include customized, multi-level approval workflows for publishing, editing and access controls; content flagging and legal hold; and automated and dynamic content expiration rules. Vbrick also enhanced the self-discovering, automated mesh architecture of its eCDN to now include intelligent, timed downloads for prepositioning of critical enterprise content.
UC Integration
Rev’s integral cloud streaming and recording capabilities from SIP-based UC end points enable users of the most widely used video conferencing systems to effortlessly launch live webcasts from any end point, and automatically record and publish video for scalable and secure distribution and playback from any device. Vbrick has enhanced these capabilities with additional end point certification, as well as a new Rev Cisco Spark Bot which allows participants in Cisco Spark spaces to search video libraries hosted on Rev, and easily and seamlessly record Cisco Spark meetings through Rev for later viewing and sharing. Cisco Spark customers can also subscribe to Rev video channels and receive notifications and links within Cisco Spark for playback and video sharing, and stream live from Cisco Spark spaces using Rev’s self-service live webcasting capabilities.
“Innovation is the hallmark of our modern Rev platform, which is years ahead of older solutions and enables us to rapidly deliver exciting features to our enterprise customers,” said Shelly Heiden, CEO of Vbrick. “Our pace of innovation in 2018 is already accelerating as we prepare to unveil a new, HTML5 multicast capability that will give enterprises another option beyond Flash for high-quality, massively scalable and centrally managed and monitored enterprise video distribution that works across browsers, operating systems and devices,” Heiden said.
