GigaWave Technologies announces their partnership with EC-Council. The objective of this partnership is expanding the high-tech training offerings from GigaWave into the exploding field of Cyber Security. GigaWave has long been the leader in high-tech enterprise class WiFi training and now is excited to offer Cyber Security training thru the EC-Council.
EC-Council and GigaWave have partnered to provide exceptional Cyber Security training to the large customer base of network engineers that GigaWave has built in its 18 years of business. EC-Council certification programs are hands-on, vendor agnostic and are considered the tip of the spear when it comes to Offensive and Defensive Cybersecurity training and certification options. The Cyber range offered in the training allows students to immerse in hands-on live (non-simulated) scenarios with actual tools going after real targets in a sandboxed environment. This enables the students to be able to execute these skills outside the training room and in real world.
Vicky Sablatura, CEO of GigaWave, says, “It is imperative that we expand the technical reach of GigaWave. With today’s network environments getting more and more hostile, it only made sense to look to the EC-Council and their best of breed Cyber Security training offerings.” Charles Sablatura, President of GigaWave, adds, “We have built a reputation of being the best of what we do in the wireless training arena. We will duplicate this model for the Cyber Security industry and we are very excited to work with the EC-Council to make sure this is accomplished.”
Danish Arshad, Executive Director of EC-Council, quoted, “Cybercrime will cost the world more than $6 Trillion annually by 2021 (according to a recent report published by Cybersecurity Ventures) and with the Demand of Cybersecurity experts expected to rise to 6 Million globally by 2019 with a projected shortfall of 1.5 Million, cybersecurity personnel have become one of the most sought after resource that organizations are looking to invest in now. Another report by Cybersecurity Ventures also highlighted that the unemployment level in the Cybersecurity field being ‘Zero’ in 2016-17 is a clear example of the opportunities that individuals will be able to leverage after going through EC-Council certifications delivered by GigaWave. These ANSI and DOD8570 accredited certifications are well recognized in the industry globally as well as Fortune 1000’s making them the ideal resource to acquire skill and accreditation in the Cybersecurity field.”
Founded in 2000 by Charles Sablatura and three other partners, GigaWave quickly became the leader in providing excellent training for the wireless industry, including broadband and WiFi technologies. GigaWave’s stellar growth and designation as a Cisco Systems Learning Partner in late 2000 demonstrates the Company’s ability to develop curriculum and train people on WLAN technologies at the highest and most professional levels. In April of 2006, GigaWave was acquired by TESSCO Technologies. Charles remained with TESSCO to continue to drive the training business. In March of 2017, Charles along with his wife, Vicky, reacquired GigaWave from TESSCO. Vicky brings her 30 years of classroom experience and her financial acumen to the company to grow GigaWave. Her appointment as CEO and majority owner has allowed GigaWave to achieve its Emerging Small Business Entity, Small Business Entity and Woman Owned Business Entity certification (certificate # 218019059).
GigaWave literally wrote the book on wireless training for Cisco Systems. GigaWave was founded to provide all of the training for Aironet’s customers and resellers. When Cisco purchased Aironet , GigaWave continued to be the exclusive education provider for Cisco’s Aironet product line. This exclusive relationship continued until 2003. During this time, GigaWave wrote the initial course for performing site surveys using Cisco equipment which was eventually purchased by Cisco. GigaWave has also been involved in writing and maintaining all training materials for Cisco wireless over the last 18 years.
GigaWave is now bring their expertise to the Cyber Security world and looks forward to expanding the Cyber Security offerings thru EC-Council to be a major part of GigaWave’s portfolio.
