ClearDB, a pioneer in native enterprise cloud database technologies, today announced new feature enhancements to its single tenant, G5 fully managed database. With its latest capabilities, ClearDB G5 provides improved automation, increased reliability through Linux virtual machines and the ability to monitor and control 34 points of telemetry via MySQL. ClearDB’s new G5 datastores leverage the latest Linux-based cloud VMs to deliver enhanced reliability and performance while also providing customers with access to additional telemetry around infrastructure utilization.

"Today’s digitized world demands database solutions that are automated, extremely scalable and flexible in terms of cloud connectivity and that provide a thorough view of the infrastructure through datastores," said Michael Russo, DBaaS product manager for ClearDB. "With continual innovation in managed database technologies and features, ClearDB’s G5 platform is providing customers with advanced telemetry data for improved diagnostics in a single tenant environment.”

The ClearDB G5 update provides a fully managed and automated system that uses telemetry data to provide a deeper look at a datastore infrastructure through MySQL. ClearDB’s new reports include CPU usage or min/max time range (6 different looks), memory usage, disk utilization, I/O usage, read/write throughput, storage utilization and network in/out, as well as the ability to easily view and control many points of telemetry data through the MySQL application.

The performance and scalability of ClearDB’s DBaaS platform allows for easy configuration of the large and small workloads. Moreover, its in-memory database performance increases workload efficiency and delivers predictable application performance for customers, while its one-click database restoration provides instant backups and restoration of existing backups on demand. In addition, ClearDB’s advanced security for data stored within the database provides the critical security necessary for data at rest.
