Author William L. Bradbury’s Newly Released “Preacher Boy” Follows The Life Of A Grandpa Who Was Truly Dedicated To His Family
COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. (PRWEB) February 01, 2018 -- “Preacher Boy”: the story of a Grandfather who worked hard to hold his family together. “Preacher Boy” is the creation of published author, William L. Bradbury. Born in January 1939 and raised in Southeast Kansas, William was a farm boy who never got to be a child. He started working on the farm at age four and had to support himself by age sixteen. He wanted to be a farmer, but God wanted him to be something else. He never discovered what.
At nineteen, he left the farm to work in the city. He has done about every kind of work thinkable. At twenty-four, he moved his family to Indiana for seven years. He then moved his family to Michigan where he spent twenty-five years. For nine years, he lived alone with his young son before he remarried. He became very sick, so he and his wife moved to Arizona where they lived for ten years before they moved back to Michigan. Bored in Arizona, he wrote numerous short stories and took two courses in children’s literature. He has also written twenty-two unpublished books. He wants the proceeds to help impoverished children through Advancing Native Missions, which is based in Charlottesville, Virginia. When not writing and reading, he carves birds and fish for fun. He builds a lot of toys for his grandkids.
“This is a story that I have wanted to live and never had the chance. All is not made up; some of it is from the Word of God from the Living Bible. So you might say this is a fiction with some nonfiction built into it in places. The people and the places are from my own mind, made up from a lot of dreaming on my part. If you feel like being one of the people in this story, then place yourself within and enjoy.” --William L. Bradbury
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, William L. Bradbury’s new book is the story of a grandpa who fights to hold his family together.
Grandpa had always worked hard to hold his family together. He was the one who fixed all of their problems. He was the one who everyone looks to for answers. When his son was lost, he suggested he become a preacher, which he did. When two children needed a home, he adopted them, which resulted in his second marriage. When his daughter married his grandson, he had to come to grips with the fact that his grandson and great grandson were the same person. No matter the challenge, grandpa was always there for his family.
