Maine Lumber Dealers Host Gubernatorial Candidates Forum
AUGUSTA, Maine (PRWEB) February 01, 2018 -- With Maine’s Governor, Paul LePage, serving his final year in office, candidates for the State’s highest office came to the Retail Lumber Dealers Association of Maine’s (RLDAM) January meeting. The January 24 event gave candidates an opportunity to meet with industry leaders from across the State to learn about the lumber and building material (LBM) industry’s needs and how local, independent businesses can help the State prosper.
In all, seven candidates for Governor attended the meet and greet to hear from RLDAM members. There are currently 24 candidates in the race, which will be contested in November 2018.
Gubernatorial Candidates in attendance included:

• Sen. Mark Dion
• Rep. Ken Fredette
• Treasurer Terry Hayes
• Attorney General Janet Mills
• Businessman Shawn Moody
• Senate President Mike Thibodeau
RLDAM has over 104 member businesses across Maine. The association was established in 1933 to foster the mutual interests of those engaged in the retail lumber business, lumber products, building materials and building specialists in the State of Maine. RLDAM is one of fourteen state and local associations across the Northeast associated with the Northeastern Retail Lumber Association (NRLA).
