Alexandra Besitka’s New Book “Titanabet” is a Timeless Story on a Maritime Disaster of a Great Ship Journeying in the North Atlantic Ocean During the Twentieth Century
WALLINGFORD, Conn. (PRWEB) February 01, 2018 -- Alexandra Besitka, a graduate of Eastern Nazarene College who attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications major in public relations and advertising, has completed her new book “Titanabet”: an educational story about the greatest maritime disaster of a ship named Titanic that somehow has become a blessing in disguise, for the tragedy has improved safety preparations for sea travel.
Author Besitka: “Titanic had a double hull, believed to make the ship ‘unsinkable.’ Giant icebergs that traveled the Labrador Current in Titanic’s path were blocked by darkness.
Titanic’s journey was about to be cut short. Around the time of impact, Titanic was traveling at a rate of twenty-three knots, or a speed of twenty-six miles
per hour, making it hard to slow the ship down.
Titanic had only twenty lifeboats on board, not nearly enough to save everyone once the ship hit an iceberg.
SOS and CQD: As the ship sank, Morse code was used to relay HELP messages to other ships.
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Alexandra Besitka’s “Titanabet” is an enlightening narrative of facts on the Titanic tragedy; the author used the twenty-six letters of the English alphabet to present these interestingly. The book is written on the hopes that the tale of this legendary ship will motivate readers to discover more about the tragedy and its implications.
Readers who wish to experience this informative work can purchase“Titanabet” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play, Kobo or Barnes and Noble.
