San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) February 21, 2018 -- OverOps, the platform for software reliability, today announced that software industry stalwart and executive, Rod Squires has joined the company as CEO, stepping in to join founder Tal Weiss, who will become CTO.
“We look forward to Rod taking our company to the next level,” said Tal. “His track record and deep understanding of the enterprise software is a perfect fit for OverOps. Further, he has an incomparable passion for servicing customers at a global scale, and his leadership and tenacity will be an extraordinary fit for our team.” Continued Weiss, “He is the exact right person to lead OverOps to the next stage of growth.”
Mr. Squires brings more than 25 years of experience managing all aspects of worldwide sales and operations, and joins to support the company's growth to meet the increased market demand for OverOps. In his prior role, Rod was EVP, Worldwide Field Operations at Pentaho and was instrumental in transforming the company to a market-leading big data analytics company, ultimately being acquired by Hitachi. As an Officer and SVP of Sales at Savvion, Inc., Squires helped grow the company, resulting in an acquisition by Progress Software. Prior to Savvion, Squires was the VP of Sales at Vitria Technology and helped drive the company from its early stage to over $130M in revenue.
“OverOps has all the right pieces in place for extreme growth. We have a groundbreaking product that provides tremendous value to customers. Further, there is increasing market demand, and we have a strong leadership team to manage us through the next stage of growth,” said Rod Squires, OverOps CEO. “As organizations are faced with increasing competition from traditional rivals and new entrants, the modern CEO, CIO and CTO is being forced to innovate their applications and systems faster than ever. In this new world, the status quo is no longer acceptable. OverOps is uniquely positioned to help our customers not only innovate faster but do it reliably. I am excited to join this high caliber team to help accelerate our presence in the market and to ultimately help the world deliver more reliable software.”
OverOps provides a reliability platform that identifies anomalies such as known and unknown errors at the moment they occur in order to streamline investigation of these events. With a full stack of code and variable state, it automates detection and analysis of critical application issues, allowing modern development and operations teams to spend less time troubleshooting issues and more time delivering business value. Finally, it integrates with many of the tools the modern enterprise has adopted to streamline their delivery of software, such as CI/CD and alerting so that it can automate end to end governance of issues.
Today, most companies rely on age old technology, searching through endless log files trying to identify the root cause of production errors. OverOps reimagines this analysis to provide an intelligence layer, so for every error, developers and devops engineers gain rich information on what led to that error. “With OverOps you can be inside the engine at the moment an issue occurs. This is a much more complete and efficient method than simple investigation of application exhaust”, says Squires.
“OverOps occupies real estate in the software stack that is unrivaled in this market and their challenge is simple. They need to communicate the value of the platform at scale so they can deliver value across a wide range of enterprise customers,” said Arif Janmohamed, Partner at Lightspeed Ventures. “Rod is the right person to lead them in this journey.”
About OverOps
OverOps increases developer productivity and allows organizations to accelerate delivery of reliable software. Unlike any other solution, OverOps is present when an application breaks and collects a snapshot of the complete state at the point of execution for both known and unknown issues. This snapshot is used to speed investigation of critical production application errors and can also be used by other tools to optimize delivery of applications from development through production. This enables over 200 enterprise customers such as Comcast, TripAdvisor and Intuit to ship more reliable software. OverOps employs over 80 employees in its San Francisco and Tel Aviv offices.
