Fisherman's Wharf Community Benefit District Partners with FOREalert to Enhance Security and Emergency Preparedness
SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB) February 01, 2018 -- Over the last eight months, the Fisherman's Wharf Community Benefit District (FWCBD) has partnered with FOREalert, an innovative and collaborative emergency communication app, to improve security and crisis management in San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf area.
The FOREalert app, which uses geofencing technology, allows the FWCBD to easily communicate with their constituents. The app facilitates communication between the FWCBD's Safety Ambassadors and key district security personnel in real-time. The app can be used in an emergency situation or proactively on a daily basis. The organization can now share photos and text as well as pinpoint specific areas of concern. The comprehensive FOREalert logs enable tracking of security metrics and trends.
As part of the continued partnership, the FOREalert team is working with merchants, ambassadors, and security personnel in the San Francisco city area to promote further adoption of the app. The FWCBD believes that tourists to the Fisherman's Wharf area would benefit from using the app to receive information in the case a widespread emergency or natural disaster.
Executive Director of FWCBD, Troy Campbell, said, "FOREalert's technology will enable better communication among the FWCBD authorities, merchants, ambassadors, and the public to improve response time during emergency and non-emergency situations."
The CEO of FOREalert Corp, Satish Padmanabhan, said, "We are honored to have our technology utilized to empower the tourists and merchants in the San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf area in efficiently and effectively responding to crisis situations and general disturbances."
