Destination XL Group Inc., the largest omni-channel specialty retailer of big and tall men's apparel, selected Tenzing to migrate their Oracle Commerce platform to Amazon Web Services (AWS) just twelve weeks before the holiday season — and their bold decision has paid off.

The project’s successful completion not only resolved sporadic site performance issues that were sure to cost DXL over the holidays, it ushered in a new era of cloud-based capabilities that leadership has been eager to utilize for years. Selecting Tenzing for the migration project came with the discovery that it was the only managed services company offering a tested solution for optimizing Oracle Commerce on AWS. They always made us aware of potential problems in advance, and when unforeseen obstacles did arise, they were quick to find creative solutions.”

After 12 weeks of implementation and multiple successful releases, the full migration was completed right on time in early November. Ponnappan stated, “Thanks to Tenzing, we felt very confident going into Black Friday and Cyber Monday. With AWS as our hosting solution, we easily scaled up the environment as needed, then scaled it back down when the holiday rush was over. Throughout the whole season, Tenzing closely monitored our site during all peak traffic loads to ensure it was up and performing without a hitch.”
