iaedp™ Foundation Announces Top 5 Finalists for 2018 “Imagine Me Beyond What You See” Art Competition
PEKIN, Ill. (PRWEB) February 01, 2018 -- The International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedp™) announces the 2018 top five finalists in the 8th annual “Imagine Me Beyond What You See” body image mannequin art competition. Selected from 15 submissions from the United States, the top five finalists will be showcased and the winner revealed at the annual iaedp™ Symposium, March 22 – 25 at the Omni at ChampionsGate in Orlando, Florida.
Entries were created by individuals in recovery and within therapy groups with clients that include both adolescents and adults from partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs and residential treatment centers supervised by therapists, counselors and art therapists. The mixed-medium works are judged on clarity of theme, creativity and originality, quality of composition and design and the overall impression and presentation of the artwork.
“The diverse and creative responses to this year’s challenge are inspiring, and all of us at iaedp™ appreciate the artists’ efforts to push the boundaries of form, structure, and identity through their visual representations,” says iaedp™ Foundation's Imagine Me Coordinator, Blanche Williams.
