CATONSVILLE, Md. (PRWEB) February 05, 2018
Christopher Butcher, a devoted brother from Baltimore, has completed his new book “Dec. 13th”: an intriguing mystery of the main character’s identity that draws the reader into helping him solve the puzzle.
According to Butcher, “Growing up in the streets of Baltimore was very difficult, especially being surrounded by so much negative energy. Even though (I) was still in school, (I) could feel the darkness following (me). One day, (I) came home from middle school and (my) uncles were in the basement rapping, and the rhythm sounded good to (my) ears and the bass felt familiar to (my) body. So, on that day, (I) decided (I) wanted to become a rapper. Years passed and (I) developed lots of skills that (I) thought would be (my) meal ticket, but none of them made (me) feel complete, like writing children’s stories. December 13th is a very good story. Hope you enjoy reading it as much as (I) enjoyed writing it.”
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Christopher Butcher’s Christmas-themed work was written by the author on his birthday, which is December 12th. He was being hospitalized and knew he wasn’t going to make it home for Christmas, so he decided he was going to do something that would not only make him happy but make others happy as well—and that’s how “Dec. 13th” was born.
Readers will be drawn into the story by the illustrations, rhythmic verse, and intriguing plot. The author’s message to all is that the world can be a dark and cold place, but everyone needs to get into gear and light it up with holiday cheer.
Readers who wish to experience this historical work can purchase “Dec. 13th” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
