AAAED Professional Development and Training Institute Announces its 2018 "Equity and Diversity at Work" Programs for EEO and Diversity Professionals
WASHINGTON (PRWEB) February 06, 2018 -- The American Association for Access, Equity and Diversity (AAAED), Professional Development and Training Institute (PDTI), announces its new course catalog “Equity and Diversity at Work,” and professional development training program for 2018. Founded in 1974 as the American Association for Affirmative Action (AAAA), AAAED has four decades of leadership in providing professional training to members, enabling them to be more successful and productive in their careers. It also promotes understanding and advocacy of affirmative action and other equal opportunity and related compliance laws to enhance the tenets of access, inclusion and equality in employment, economic and educational opportunities.
AAAED’s Professional Development and Training Institute (PDTI) has been a primary sponsor of quality training in equal employment opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action law and policy since 1991. PDTI faculty consist of experienced educators who understand both the theory and the applications of EEO, affirmative action and diversity policy. PDTI offers the Certified Affirmative Action Professional (CAAP) and Senior Certified Affirmative Action Professional credentials (Sr. CAAP). PDTI also offers courses and certificate programs in areas ranging from “Diversity Management” and “Title IX Investigations” to “Latest OFCCP Compliance Developments.” PDTI courses are eligible for continuing education credits awarded by the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI). PDTI also offers a robust monthly webinar program for members and nonmembers alike.
New in 2018 is the Federal Construction Contractor Training program, developed to assist companies engaged in federal or federally-assisted construction to learn the equal employment laws and regulations that bar discrimination and support access and opportunity for women, minorities, persons with disabilities and others. AAAED also offers training for EEO, affirmative action and diversity professionals and provides the required Annual Refresher for Federal EEO Counselors and Investigators. For the new EEO professional, PDTI offers a two-day course called the “New Professionals Academy” and for those more experienced in the profession, it offers the “Program for Experienced Practitioners” also called the “Sr. CAAP” program.
