Unique database with more than 620,000 locations and 1.6 million underground storage tanks

This is the first consolidated, national database of underground storage tanks providing unparalleled insight to environmental risks.

HazardHub, the nation’s fastest-growing supplier of geospatial risk data, has announced the release of the nation’s first comprehensive database of Underground Storage Tanks (USTs.) The database contains over 622,000 locations and 1.6 million underground tanks across all fifty states. The data is available via HazardHub’s fast and powerful data API.

Brady Foust, Chief Science Officer of HazardHub says, “For the first time, a single, national database of the hazards represented by UST’s – with the exact location of those tanks - is available in one place. The HazardHub UST database goes far beyond what is currently available by assembling raw data – sometime in paper form - from each and every state. Developing a national database of underground storage tanks is not a trivial pursuit. Our UST database is an incredible achievement by our team of top-notch data team.”

For the first time, HazardHub subscribers can see – for any location in the county – a list of the USTs at and near a specific property. HazardHub USTs will also show the –

Number of Tanks
Type of tank
Tank Material
Remediation (Y/N)
Tank Size (Gal)
Use Status (IN or Out of Use)
Date Installed
Date Last Inspected

Bob Frady, CEO of HazardHub, adds “We’re thrilled to release the nation’s most comprehensive source of underground storage tanks ever available. USTs represent a tremendous risk to insurers, homeowners and communities, as USTs can lead ground pollution, explosions and potentially millions of dollars in liability. We’re constantly looking to grow our collection of cutting-edge hazard risks. UST’s represent yet another way that HazardHub is turning the spatial risk industry on its head.”
