New responsive site enhances usability and saves time

Convertor and online merchant of blank sheet labels for laser and inkjet printing, Worldlabel.com, is pleased to announce the launch of their new eCommerce responsive website. The new site is mobile friendly in addition to added modernized shopping functions to make ordering convenient for customers.

Blank laser and inkjet sheet printer label pioneer Worldlabel, in business since 1998, has updated its website to an Open Source Drupal based content management eCommerce system which allows for robust additions of new products, functions, and services for Worldlabel customers.

“We did not respond quick enough to technology changes, after Google sent notice that we were not Mobile friendly. We went on a scramble to develop a responsive site mobile friendly with an easy to use user interface for shopping. It could not happen soon enough,” said Russell Ossendryver, President of Operations. “The changes are a big investment, as large complicated responsive eCommerce sites cost way over 100k to develop. But, with Google’s Mobile First Index coming out, it was a must. If you going to be online, you need to try and stay ahead of technology to succeed, otherwise, problems catch up with you quickly.”

The new site offers a much better user experience for users on all types of computers and devices especially smartphones and tablets. Worldlabel focused specifically on customer needs as they perused through the site, trying to make it as intuitive and as easy to shop as possible. Worldlabel provides choices on how to shop by size, use, and materials. The largest upgrade occurred in the shopping by materials channel. With over 120 sizes and 30 different materials, the intuitive choices option has reduced the time on site for viewers to find what they need. Pages were added for each of the materials used in printing labels, so that customers may browse among sizes in any of the materials and shop for labels in that specific material.

Worldlabel also added more function for usability. Once a customer has picked a label size, the shopping selector will allow that customer to browse materials and pick a quantity for that size label easily with intuitive dialogues on material specifications.

In addition to the enhanced user experience, Worldlabel improved the free download template section with label template channels based on file formats, including a Word template channel as well as Openoffice/Liberoffice, PDF templates, and more. Users can now select a template by file format type making navigation and downloading much easier. Also added is an expanded Knowledge Base that offers tutorials on making labels with label templates, how-to on printing labels in Word, Opensource programs and graphic design software, printing problem solving, and many labeling tips.
