Carnegie Mellon is the New Home of Pittsburgh Nike Technique Swim Camp
San Rafael, CA (PRWEB) February 09, 2018 -- Carnegie Mellon's main campus is conveniently located 3 miles from downtown Pittsburgh, between Schenley Park and the Squirrel Hill, Shadyside, and Oakland neighborhoods.
At the Nike Swim Camp at Carnegie Mellon University, the goal is to maximize swimming potential by helping swimmers to create a winning mindset and provide ongoing and constructive feedback in the pool to improve stroke technique.
Campers will train each day the swimming and diving pool, home to the Carnegie Mellon University varsity swimming and diving teams and serves as a recreational space for the campus community.
"This camp is geared towards swimmers ages 8-16 with the goals of perfecting stroke mechanics and increasing overall knowledge of the sport," states Matthew Kinney, camp director and the head coach of Carnegie Mellon's swimming team. "Campers will receive instruction on each of the four major strokes and work on the skill aspects (starts, turns, finishes) of each."
This summer Carnegie Mellon is offering one session of day camp June 25-28 from 9:00am-4:00pm each day. Upon arrival at camp, campers are placed in groups with other swimmers having similar abilities and goals. Enrollment is limited to 50 campers so interested swimmers are encouraged to register early.
