Acer Expands VAR Incentive Programs; Invests in Growth of Small VARs

Acer increases VAR enrollment and enhances incentives for its Acer Alliance VAR Program for SMB markets, as well as its Elite VAR Program for K-12 education sales

Acer reseller programs have always been known for being easy and accessible, and we’re pleased to expand our reach beyond VAR organizations to also reach sales reps directly. The response to our new program and program updates has been overwhelmingly favorable.

Acer today announced enhancements to its VAR incentive programs that are designed to help small VARs increase their Acer sales with K-12 education customers as well as small and medium businesses (SMBs). Acer’s Elite VAR Program, which was launched in 2016 and designed primarily for K-12 markets, increased revenue by 22 percent last year due to the favorable response to recent program updates that make it easier to claim incentives. In addition, the company recently launched a new Acer Alliance VAR Program, which helps drive sales of products into SMBs. The Acer Alliance VAR Program has been enhanced with new offerings, including deeper discounts on product evaluation systems.

“Acer is committing its resources to helping smaller VARs grow their businesses in partnership with Acer,” said Sonia Vasudeva, channel marketing manager, Acer. “Acer reseller programs have always been known for being easy and accessible, and we’re pleased to expand our reach beyond VAR organizations to also reach sales reps directly. The response to our new program and program updates has been overwhelmingly favorable, with 40 percent membership growth in the latest Acer Elite VAR Program.”

Both programs follow Acer’s tradition of making it easy and painless for VARs and VAR sales reps to take advantage of Acer’s incentive programs. VARs can earn volume instant rebate payouts for reaching sales goals, while their sales representatives can take advantage of Acer Rewards, a program that provides cash incentives with reloadable, prepaid debit cards that are simple to register and instantly accessible. The Acer Rewards portal enables them to submit claims online, view their progress, see current promotions and learn about Acer products and services.

Participants in both programs also have access to priority Acer hotlines for inside sales support and service and custom co-branded collateral, while Alliance VAR members can take advantage of increased discounts on demo systems to help grow their business.
