La Vida Baseball Adds Traveling Photographer Jean Fruth to Team
CHICAGO (PRWEB) February 09, 2018 -- La Vida Baseball announced today the addition of critically acclaimed photographer Jean Fruth to the media company’s growing team. Fruth will transition to La Vida Baseball from her role as Traveling Photographer at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum where her work became part of the Hall’s permanent archive.
As a Traveling Photographer for La Vida Baseball, Fruth will chronicle Latino baseball across the United States and Latin America telling the stories behind her photographs.
“Jean Fruth's images have captivated baseball fans across the globe,” said La Vida Baseball’s Editor-in-Chief Adrian Burgos, Jr. “Her photos capture the beauty of baseball in locales across the Americas, communicate the excitement of fans and players, and reveal the emotion, intensity, and joy of baseball.”
Fruth’s addition to the La Vida Baseball team will bring La Vida’s audience closer to the action, on the field and off it. Fans will see aspiring players across Latin America and the Caribbean pursue both their baseball dreams and their love of the Americas' game.
“The way fans learn about and follow their favorite players and teams is continuously evolving,” said Fruth. “It’s an honor to be documenting Latino baseball with my camera and telling their stories through my photos. I am incredibly excited to join the team at La Vida Baseball and embrace this unique opportunity to document the people and places that are part of the game’s landscape.”
With more than three years of contributing as the Traveling Photographer to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, Fruth documented the game on a year-round calendar to build the museum's photo archives of the Caribbean Series, Spring Training, MLB's regular and post-season, in addition to shooting grassroots baseball across Latin America.
