Born in 1943, Linda spent her childhood years in the beautiful Ozarks of Missouri. She is the daughter of the late Johnny and Jewell Griffin of Caulfield, MO. She has three brothers, Jim, John, and Joe as well as four sisters, Joan, Jean, Sue, and Cynthia Jane. Linda spent her grade school years in a one-room school building called Mr. Olive Grade School. She was a graduate of Bakersfield High School in Bakersfield, MO. In 1965, she married her husband, Raymond E. Wells. Together, they have three children, Lance, Choya, and Tamara. Linda and Raymond made their home in Springfield, MO from 1965 to1980 where Raymond was employed at the Paul Mueller Plant for seventeen years until he was called to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. In 1980, he accepted his first pastorate in Graniteville, MO. Linda currently resides at her home in Sarcoxie, MO with her daughter, Tamara. She loves to write short stories for her daughter. She inherited the knack from her father who would tell her bedtime stories. Linda is also the author of “The Judges Son” and “The Tucson Wrangler.” Linda’s hobbies are quilting, sewing, crocheting, gardening, and art. Linda does not teach Sunday School any more, but she feels she can help other young teachers who struggle to prepare for the classroom.
