Women in Wireless, a non-profit that empowers and develops female leaders in mobile and digital media, and Mobile Growth Fellowship, the mobile industry's largest network of user acquisition and growth professionals, today unveiled three new awards to recognize the incredible women in the mobile industry who are trailblazing as experts, thought leaders, mentors and advocates for diversity and inclusion. The awards, Women in Wireless Mobile Growth Leader of the Year, Champion of Women Award, and the Rising Star Award, were announced today at the Mobile Growth Summit.
"Women in Wireless is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to championing female leaders in mobile and digital. We strive to connect, inspire and embolden women to achieve their career aspirations," said Farzana Nasser, Co-President of Women in Wireless. "Recognizing women in our industry who have not only achieved professional success, but have also contributed to the advancement of diversity and inclusion in our industry is a honor that we as an organization are extremely proud to support in partnership with the Mobile Growth Fellowship."
"The Mobile Growth Summit is the premier conference of the year for professionals in mobile app marketing, engagement, retention and monetization, and as such we have long served as champions of women in the mobile industry," said Dave Westin, President of Mobile Growth Fellowship. "We are extremely proud to support Women in Wireless in their important mission, and it is our great honor to recognize the tremendous contributions of these important women to the industry."
The three awards all fall under Women in Wireless’ mission to increase the number of women in executive and C-level positions at start-up companies and established companies by raising awareness of women who are currently successful in these occupations. The categories are as follows:
