CTC Transportation Insurance Services, LLC, Announces Formation of Marine Business Unit
CARLSBAD, Calif. (PRWEB) February 07, 2018 -- CTC Transportation Insurance Services, LLC, one of the largest transportation Managing General Underwriters in the country, is proud to announce the hiring of insurance veteran Chris Daggett to helm CTC Marine, the newest addition to the CTC family. As President of CTC Marine, Mr. Daggett will create a stand-alone Inland and Ocean Marine unit, utilizing CTC’s existing relationships and distribution channels, and creating new ones, to offer a variety of transportation lines domestically, as well as internationally through its London branch. CTC Marine will also add non-transportation marine insurance products such as “Builder’s Risk.”
Chris started his career with The Chubb Group of Insurance companies in July 2001, where he held various underwriting positions in their commercial lines division, mainly focusing on Property, Machinery, and Marine. After working in Chubb’s NY and NJ offices for over a decade as Senior Property and Marine Underwriter, Chris left the company in 2012 to join CNA, where he developed a NJ-based Inland Marine book of business for two years. From there he went to The Hanover Group in NJ, where he spent three-and-a half years as a Territory Executive of Marine before leaving to run CTC Marine. Throughout each stage of his insurance career, Mr. Daggett has a demonstrated history of profitable growth through disciplined underwriting. It is that history which led CTC to choose Chris to run its new Marine unit.
Thomas A. Mulligan, the Chairman and CEO CTC, commented: “Since I first met Chris 13 years ago, I could see he is a problem-solver. I am excited to have his knowledge and determination to help build CTC Marine into a billion-dollar company. I know our retail agents and policyholders will appreciate Chris’ ability to provide the coverages they need, while helping grow our companies together. It’s a true win–win for everyone.”
