U.S. Senate Candidate Neal Simon to Appear on CNN's 'Smerconish' Saturday
ROCKVILLE, Md. (PRWEB) February 09, 2018 -- Neal Simon, who launched his independent bid this week for a U.S. Senate seat from Maryland, will appear on CNN's Smerconish, the nationally televised public affairs program hosted by lawyer and author Michael Smerconish, on Sat., Feb. 10.
The program airs at 9 a.m. ET, Sat., Feb. 10 on CNN, and is rebroadcast the same day at 6 p.m.
Simon, a non-partisan candidate, is expected to discuss the state of the two major political parties today, the rise of independent candidates and voters in the country, and how an unaffiliated centrist can help break partisan gridlock in the US Senate.
Simon, 49, a business executive and community leader from Potomac, Md., will face the Democrat and Republican candidates in November. If successful, he will replace Democrat incumbent Sen. Ben Cardin, 74, who is currently running for his third term.
