Van Dyk Health Care at Montclair Appoints Dr. John Kelly and Dr. Tianzhong Yang to Serve as Medical Directors
MONTCLAIR, N.J. (PRWEB) February 13, 2018 -- Van Dyk Health Care has named Dr. John V. Kelly as its Post-Acute Care Medical Director and Dr. Tianzhong Yang as its Long-Term Care Medical Director, both serving the company’s Montclair community. Dr. Kelly is an internist who has been affiliated with Clara Maass Medical Center since 1989, and Dr. Yang has served as a hospitalist at Hackensack UMC Mountainside since 2013.
“As a family-owned care provider, it’s essential that we partner with reputable physicians who share our philosophy of ‘Family Caring for Family,’” said Robert Van Dyk, CEO of Van Dyk Health Care. “Our profession continues to change. But the one constant is that our community wants professionals who care for them as members of their own family. We’re sticking to that commitment. Both Dr. Kelly and Dr. Yang are proven leaders in the medical community, and they will maintain a strong rapport with the families we serve.”
Dr. Kelly, who has been in practice over 20 years, will oversee post-acute services in Van Dyk’s Montclair community while serving as Medical Staff President at Clara Maass. He earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Yang, who began his medical career in China over 30 years ago, will handle long-term care services. He has served in instructor roles in the Department of Anesthesiology at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
Both physicians will work closely with the nursing staff at Van Dyk Health Care at Montclair to keep patients out of the hospital, helping them regain independence and physical function. The company’s award-winning staff in Montclair continues to enhance its clinical capabilities, as well as education programs for the community.
“Adding two leading physicians is a great opportunity for us,” said Jacqueline Cousins, Administrator of Van Dyk Health Care at Montclair. “We have always demonstrated a commitment to quality. Dr. Kelly and Dr. Yang will help us expand our expertise to serve more patients with a wider range of clinical needs.”
The Montclair staff has qualified for the last four years for the American Health Care Association’s “Quality Initiative” in Staff Stability, awarded to providers with highly satisfied, well-trained and committed staff. They received the Excellence in Action award by the National Research Corporation for high satisfaction with patients and employees.
Van Dyk Health Care has implemented several innovative programs to provide personalized care, improve overall health outcomes and teach patients how to sustain wellness and quality of life within their own homes. The Montclair staff oversees a leading respiratory program, JustBreathe, with board-certified pulmonologist Dr. Lopa Patel, nurses and a respiratory therapist to treat patients with respiratory diagnoses such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Patients who return home can take advantage of At Home With Van Dyk’s popular services, including personalized care for families seeking support for their loved ones and more time in their own day to focus on their personal needs as well.
