Stable Step, LLC v. Foot Care Store, Inc, Dia-Foot and Dr. Robert Gaynor
WEST CHESTER, Ohio (PRWEB) February 14, 2018 -- Foot Care Store, Inc/Dia-Foot, distributor and retailer of Pure Stride orthotics and Dr. Robert Gaynor, President of Foot Care Store, Inc/Dia-Foot, reached a negotiated settlement with Stable Step, LLC, a leading provider of prefabricated orthotics and insoles under the Powerstep brand, in the patent infringement lawsuit filed by Stable Step, LLC in the Southern District of Florida (Stable Step, LLC v. Foot Care Store, Inc/Dia-Foot and Dr. Robert Gaynor, Case 9:17-cv-81363-DMM).
The lawsuit, filed in December 2017 by Stable Step, LLC, alleged that Foot Care Store, Inc’s Pure Stride Professional Dress Orthotics infringed Stable Step’s patents for its Powerstep SlenderFit Dress Orthotics. The lawsuit also addressed the alleged unfair competition with Dr. Gaynor’s unauthorized resale of Powerstep’s physician-exclusive ProTech products on eBay, damaging Stable Step’s goodwill.
“For nearly thirty years, Powerstep has provided premium, innovative, products to our customers,” said Rhonda Newman, President of Stable Step, LLC. “Investing in developing and protecting our intellectual property is critical to our strategy and success. We are pleased to resolve these issues with Foot Care Store, Inc. and Dr. Robert Gaynor and will continue to be vigilant in defending and protecting our brand and intellectual property.”
