Tony Gambill, Global Leader in Organizational Development, Joins CREO, Inc., as Principal Consultant
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. (PRWEB) February 14, 2018 -- Tony Gambill, who led RTI’s Organizational Development and Learning Department for 9 years as Vice President, with responsibility for leadership development for more than 5,000 employees in 40 counties, has joined CREO, Inc., as principal consultant. CREO is a Research Triangle Park-based management consulting firm specializing in the life sciences, healthcare, and technology services industries. Gambill will assist in leading the expansion of its leadership and talent development practice.
Gambill will help CREO’s clients build knowledge, skills and processes for leadership excellence and career growth. A globally recognized expert in designing and facilitating leadership development programs, he spent more than 20 years helping executives align their teams and strategies to the demands of a changing work environment. Prior to joining RTI, Gambill served in Director-level roles for organizational and talent development at Virginia Tech University, and the Washington, DC-based nonprofit Conservation International. He holds a master’s degree in Human Resources from Western Carolina University, and is certified in numerous organizational training instruments.
Susan Acker-Walsh, co-founder and managing partner at CREO, says the addition of Gambill underscores CREO’s commitment to strengthening organizational and leadership development as the critical ingredient that differentiates high-performing organizations from others. “Our experience serving in C-level roles has convinced us that building and supporting strong leadership throughout an organization is essential for success, and Tony will bring immediate benefit to CREO’s clients,” she says. Acker-Walsh credits Gambill’s experience combining practical skills with the latest theories on leadership development. “Tony is an effective executive coach and strategist because he has faced the same challenges as our clients. Tony has that rare ability to listen with empathy, provide options, then support leaders as they work within their organizations to make lasting change,” she says.
In his previous roles, Gambill effectively leveraged talent processes and systems to improve organizational culture by creating capable leaders and environments for individuals to succeed. “At CREO, I will have the opportunity to serve as a trusted guide to leaders whose organizations are making a difference in the world,”
Gambill says. “Many people in knowledge-based industries rise to management roles because of their technical expertise. We can offer these leaders evidence-based training programs to bring out the best in their teams, and support them as they confront complex, often difficult decisions,” he says.
Gambill says he found his passion for leadership development early in his career, taking young people identified by the juvenile courts on month-long expeditions through the Outward Bound program. “Many of the participants started out as cynical, and resistant to change,” he says. “In that way, they are like a lot of people who are skeptical of consultants who come in to ‘fix’ a perceived problem. It’s only by connecting with their values, and truly investing in their personal growth that you can establish trust and take an organization to the next level,” he says.
Gambill’s areas of specialty include design and facilitation of leadership development programs; executive succession; coaching executives and senior leaders; identification and development of high-potential talent; managing organizational development and change; strategic talent management; team effectiveness; mindfulness; emotional intelligence; and quality conversations.
