The Bluebook International, Inc. (http://www.bluebook.net), the nation’s leading provider of repair cost estimating data and software to the real estate and property preservation industries, announced that it has been awarded a five-year contract renewal for RepairBASE (http://www.repairbase.net) by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to supply software and data for validation of repair cost estimates.
HUD utilizes Bluebook’s RepairBASE to confirm repair, replacement, preservation, maintenance, and improvement costs on Federal Housing Administration (FHA) single family homes across the United States. Bluebook has been HUD’s provider since September 2011.
“Bluebook is proud to support HUD and our thousands of preservation and repair users,” said Robert Syverson, CEO. “Whether it is homeowners accessing myBBhome.com, contractors using bluebookpro.com, or preservation inspectors validating costs with repairbase.net, Bluebook offers reliable, easy to use interfaces, backed by our industry leading data, specialized to your market.”
RepairBASE is the industry standard for repair costs and maintenance estimating required by HUD, FHA, mortgage security holders, and lenders. Bluebook also offers a free tool for homeowners to estimate the costs of repair and remodel projects (see http://www.mBBhome.com). Bluebook offers direct integration via XML/API and/or web services, making it simple, fast, and cost effective to make Bluebook power any property management system.
