PHILADELPHIA (PRWEB) February 15, 2018 -- Launched in February of 1978, from a spare room in his house, and a $100.00 in his pocket, John Weidenhammer became founder and president of Weidenhammer. Forty years later, the company is a $42 million technology and consulting company with seven offices across the country, and plans to open an office in downtown Reading this spring.
John stated, “When we started Weidenhammer, our main goal was to minimize the great hardships that accompanied installation of new computer systems. Ironically, in an industry that changes so quickly, we are still dedicated to the same mission-- helping clients manage the hardships of complex technology transformation in order to remain competitive.”
Weidenhammer was one of the first regional technology companies. Global technology companies, such as Apple and Microsoft, were in their infancy in 1978. “Much of the company’s sustained growth can be attributed to John’s strategy of occupying multiple lines of business concurrently, while remaining relevant across a number of strategy, marketing and technology touchpoints,” stated Chuck Zwicker, SVP of Weidenhammer. He continued, “The company has made 11 acquisitions– two in the last 15 months.”
“Having provided thousands of businesses and school districts with innovative solutions for the last 40 years is very humbling,” stated John. “I am proud of our growth, but even prouder of the exceptionally long-term relationships we have forged with many of our clients.” He continued, “There are a number of clients who have been with us since the early ‘80s.”
Weidenhammer has established premier partnerships with many of the global tech firms; such as IBM, Microsoft, HP, and Cisco.
The firm is planning a number of activities to mark the 40 year celebration, including allowing employees to volunteer eight hours of paid-time to a non-profit agency of their choice.
