Online dating is comedy! But it's also a POWER STRUGGLE WRAPPED UP IN A GENDER BURRITO. Female Director/Creator Martha Williams, is interested in the both the humor and the power behind date play, especially as it relates to gender. What are the fantasies, assumptions, expectations created before, during and after dating, and how are they fueled by skewed ideas of power? Watch and see. Ep. 01 of Run for Your Life is now on YouTube. Ep. 02-04 airing in subsequent weeks.
Like in Episode 01 "Who's the Bozo?" when main character Richard (played by Zack Gold) meets Sarah for a late-night hook-up, only to find his supervisor in the other room.
We have a phenomenal list of actors working on “Run for Your Life” including:

MICHAEL AURELIO, The Old Globe, Murder in the First

Our two main characters Richard (Zack Gold Ep. 01 & 03) & Celine (Mia Darrow Ep. 02 & 04) encounter one ridiculous date after another. After imagining how the relationship could go even more terribly wrong, they RUN FOR THEIR LIVES….all over town. Will they eventually meet?
With a team comprising of creator/writer/director Martha Williams, a wild and winsome former choreographer turned filmmaker; Gemini firecracker producer Ashley George; the natural, truthful flow of Lucky Cheng’s cinematography; as well as the sharp and pointed narrative support of Marlene Nichols as story editor. And let's not forget the genius touch of the post-production team, notably Norm Scott developing all original music and co-editor Maria Cataldo (Rebel Music & After Louie) and newbie Mollie Johnson's darling animation.
The uniqueness of the show is largely derived from the writers’ realistic approach where-in actual snapshots of their most unusual experiences have been taken into account and the surreal-ness of this realness is crystalized. The creator is taking on an anthology format, where each season will comprise of a diverse set of characters set in different worlds. These first season takes place in the chaos that is New York City, yet future seasons will dive into LGBT acting circles in LA, working-class Ohio, progressive Seattle, Georgia farmers, San Francisco’s transgender community, and workaholics in NY.
