ProStar Is Awarded Key Canadian Patent for System and Method for Integration and Correlation of GIS Data

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (PRWEB) February 14, 2018 -- A Canadian Patent No. 2846173, prepared by Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie LLP, one of nation’s leading intellectual property law firms, has been granted. The patent covers a computer implemented method for calculating tolerance zones for utility assets. This method allows the user to receive data about an area related to a location of a utility asset within a region. The patented method helps to prevent damages to utilities and the environment during construction, maintenance and groundbreaking activities as well as severe conditions including weather, fires, and earthquakes.
