VidCon Announces Editorial Team for 2018 Industry Track in Anaheim
MISSOULA, Mont. (PRWEB) February 15, 2018 -- VidCon, the worlds’ largest online video conference, today announced five industry veterans will curate the 2018 Anaheim industry track.
Featuring a unique mix of business leadership and deep understanding of all aspects of the online video industry, the five new editorial directors include:
- Ivana Kirkbride, Chief Content Officer, Go90
- Kathleen Grace, CEO NewForm
- John McCarus, Co-founder of the NewFronts and content consultancy Content Ink. Current CMO of WatchMojo
- Mark Robertson, Consultant and Co-founder of ReelSEO
- Mike Vorhaus, President Magid Media Advisors
Each editorial director will be focusing on a different area of the industry track. Kathleen Grace and Ivana Kirkbride will curate content focusing on the programming, production and content area, John McCarus will curate the executive leadership and branding tracks, Mark Robertson will bring together the top experts in audience development and social video on the workshop and seminar track, while Mike Vorhaus will concentrate on data and research.
“Now that I’ve taken on additional duties at VidCon," said Jim Louderback, CEO of VidCon and former editorial director of the industry track, “I needed help to build out this year’s content. Amazingly I was able to pull together a dream team of experts in the media and entertainment industry to take this year’s conference to an entirely new level. I couldn’t be happier to have Ivana, Kathleen, John, Mark and Mike applying their deep expertise and experience to VidCon’s content.”
“Vidcon has established itself as the premier conference for social and digital video. The diverse group of nearly 30,000 fans, creators and industry leaders who attend push us all to look forward and focus on what’s next. This is critical given that video moves so fast,” said John McCarus.
VidCon’s US event has already announced a stunning lineup of featured creators, and the first speakers and sessions on this year’s industry and creator tracks will be announced in early February.
VidCon owns and operates the world’s largest events for and about the online video community. Each VidCon assembles fans, veteran and amateur creators, working professionals, and industry thought-leaders who gather to celebrate the online video ecosystem. The original VidCon, now renamed VidCon US, was founded by Hank and John Green. Total attendance has grown from 1,400 in 2010 to over 31,000 in 2017. VidCon Europe and VidCon Australia both debuted in 2017.
Held during the weekend of June 20-23, 2018, the 9th annual VidCon US will gather approximately 30,000 people who love and contribute to the vibrant culture surrounding online video. Join the fun at vidcon.com.
