July Business Services (JULY) recently announced that John Humphrey has been promoted to the role of President and CEO and will succeed Jim Hudson who is now stepping into the role of Board Chairman.

After co-founding JULY with Jim Hudson in 1994, John Humphrey has been a driving force behind the company’s vision to be an innovator of services for small business retirement plans that are customized, cost-effective, and simple to operate.

Regarding his new role as CEO of JULY, Humphrey commented: “I am excited to have the privilege to assume the CEO role and lead JULY’s next chapter. One of the best decisions of my career was saying “yes” when Jim asked me to join him in founding JULY in 1994. His leadership, vision, and strong set of core values have been keys to JULY’s success, and we will continue carry out our mission based on the solid foundation that he has provided. With his continued involvement as Chairman, and with the strong team of committed professionals we have been fortunate to assemble, JULY is well-positioned to accelerate service and technology innovation to advisors, employers, and participants in the small retirement plan space.”

As Chairman of JULY, Jim Hudson will focus on ERISA, Technical, Legal and Tax matters. On the leadership transition, Hudson comments: “I would like to express my confidence in John and his leadership. I’m excited about our future.”
