AQ Chop House by Il Mulino Opens at Acqualina Resort & Spa
MIAMI (PRWEB) February 20, 2018 -- Acqualina Resort & Spa and Il Mulino Executive Chef Michele Mazza have officially opened AQ Chop House by Il Mulino at the award-winning resort. Designed by Miami-based design firm Saladino Design Studios, the intimate, elegant restaurant evokes a modern feel with classic elements.
The moment guests enter AQ Chop House, they find themselves in a beautiful and airy dining room filled with warmth and natural light. AQ Chop House was inspired by a throwback to mid-century European design culminating in a cross section between the modern, bold, sleek designs from the 1970s juxtaposed against a quieter style of 19th century Italian residential classicism. The restaurant is made up of many moments including a giant refurbished 1930’s deco style chandelier, handmade custom walnut dining tables and plush modern seating. The natural elements of the earth and ocean are brought into the space with the subtle tones of the white and gray terrazzo floor against a backdrop of hand painted gold millwork details, gold leaf wall treatments, and pops of warm blue chenille fabrics throughout the restaurant.
With uninterrupted views of the Atlantic Ocean, AQ Chop House will offer 126 seats with a mix of indoor and outdoor options. The restaurant will highlight the resort’s Mediterranean heritage and feature approachable cuisine that blends a modern steakhouse with Italian flavors offering prime cuts of meat, a selection of crudos and seafood.
Menu highlights include Sheep’s Milk Ricotta with Sea Salt & Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Branzino Crudo with Blood Orange & Frisee, Grilled Octopus, Short Rib Ravioli with Sage & Butter, grilled fish and prime dry-age meats as well as delectable sides from Truffle French Fries, Broccoli Rabe to Cream of Corn and Sautee Cauliflower with Raisins.
